 28.06.2010

On June 28, 2010 is the 70th anniversary of Dr. Muhammad Yunus - the Nobel Prize winner, the founder of Grameen Bank, the Honorary Chairman of the NAMMS Board of Trustees.

NAMMS and RMC would like to cordially congratulate Dr. Yunus on this remarkable date. His life can be set as an example of serving mankind in the most dedicated way, searching for ways to solve the most pending issues of low – income people and enhancing the living conditions of simple citizens. The microfinance system he has created is used now in many states and on many continents, saving people from hunger and poverty and ensuring their decent lifestyle. His merits were officially recognized as he received the Nobel Peace Prize award in 2006.

The ideas Dr. Yunus expressed during his visit to Russia contributed to the spreading or microcredit theory and practice in Russia. Moreover, we are most pleased that the Russian Parliament has adopted the Microfinancing Law recently, which shall provide for the emerging of the middle class in Russia.

On this remarkable date NAMMS and RMC would like to wish Dr. Muhammad Yunus good health, fruitful and active longevity, happiness and joy with his family and new ideas that will do further good to the mankind.
