Legal and Regulatory Support

The Russian Microfinance Center plays a critical role in disseminating information on changes to Russian law that affect MFIs, working to promote a positive legal environment for microfinance, and providing advice and consultations to MFIs on specific legal questions. In order to influence policy that affects microfinance, the RMC regularly convenes an Expert Group on Legislation, which provides feedback to the RMC on the impact of new laws and regulations and provides advice on the key issues that need to be addressed in current legislative and regulatory initiatives.
