Training and Consulting

The Russian Microfinance Center staff includes experts in the development and management of MFIs, and staff members are ready to assist MFIs in building and expanding their services to the small business sector. The RMC offers professional training trainings that provide individuals working in the field of microfinance with the essential skills and knowledge necessary to manage an effective microfinance program and offers individual consulting to MFIs who need specialized expert advice. By capitalizing on our own knowledge and experience as well as that of our partners, the RMC is able to identify the needs of, and give the necessary support to, each of our clients.



The RMC offers trainings that are open to the general public as well as individually-designed trainings for microfinance institutions, local government organizations, or NGOs who want to develop the skills of professionals in their organization or region. The RMC currently offers 22 trainings, ranging from a one-day training on the basics of creating a microfinance institutions, to trainings covering the fundamentals of loan processing and advanced trainings focusing on marketing, financial planning, and management of delinquent loans, as well as legal aspects of microfinance activities in Russia. Trainings are offered in Moscow and throughout Russia.



Individual consulting by international experts is available to new MFIs that need assistance getting started as well as for existing MFIs that are looking for ways to improve and expand their services. MFIs can receive consulting services in a range of areas, including financial management, software implementation, internal auditing, the development and implementation of new technologies, and other areas important to the success of MFIs in Russia.
